HARRY Arter praised Cherries’ resolve to bounce back from a “poor” start to the Premier League campaign.

The Dorset club began their season with four straight defeats in the top flight.

One win in their opening eight games saw them accumulate four points, meaning they sat in the relegation zone.

But three wins from the past four league fixtures has seen Eddie Howe’s men shoot up the table.

Cherries are now 13th with 13 points from their opening 12 games – four clear of the drop zone.

Arter told the Daily Echo: “It was a poor start to the season, nobody could shy away from that and in this league you don’t get forgiven for bad starts.

“We could have easily gone another way and gone into our shells.

“But the manager showed great confidence in the players. I think everyone has reacted so well to a poor start and we have turned it around. Hopefully we can continue now.”

The 27-year-old is expected to be involved tomorrow at Swansea, as Eddie Howe’s men go in search of three wins on the bounce (3pm).

“Swansea is massive now, we can really put some points on the board and get ahead of them by a good amount if we win,” Arter added.

“They have a good manager and some really good individuals. We need to try to perform as well as we can.”
