HARRY Arter revealed his admiration for Callum Wilson and admitted he could not begin to imagine what his Cherries team-mate had been through.

Arter’s first Premier League goal since February and Wilson’s comeback hat-trick fired Cherries to a 4-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.

Midfielder Arter netted at a key stage, making it 3-0 with 20 minutes left after they had defended superbly following the dismissal of Simon Francis on the stroke of half-time.

And despite finding the net, Arter was quick to heap praise on Wilson following his recovery from a second serious knee injury.

He told the Daily Echo: “Credit to him and his family for staying strong. The lads were over the moon with the result and for him to get three goals.

“I can’t even imagine what he has gone through. I have had injuries in my career and major setbacks when I was younger but I have never seen two injuries like that so quickly. Naturally, he was very down after the second time he injured his knee.

“But to see him respond so quickly and positively is a credit to him, a credit to what he wants to achieve in the game and scoring the hat-trick was perfect.

“The lads were buzzing for him.”
