BOSS Eddie Howe believes Cherries' Carabao Cup third round clash against Brighton makes for an “interesting dynamic”.

Cherries resume battle with the Seagulls at Vitality Stadium tomorrow following their 2-1 win over the Sussex outfit in the Premier League on Friday.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “It is an interesting dynamic playing them in the cup so soon after the league game.

“I have not really had that too many times so it will be intriguing.

“Staying in the cup gives us a chance to see the squad and make sure that everyone is ready, fit and able to do themselves justice.”

He added: “I think it is a good draw for us because we are at home.

“We have had a lot of away games in the cups recently. It is so much better for our supporters in terms of their travel.

“We are very aware of the incredible effort of the people who went to Birmingham. What an incredible effort that was to go there and back midweek.

“I am just pleased for them that the journey is shorter.”
