CHERRIES assistant boss Jason Tindall expects Italian side Napoli to pose a similar threat to that of Spanish outfit Valencia.

Eddie Howe's men host Napoli in their final pre-season friendly on Sunday, a week after losing 1-0 to two-times Champions League finalists Valencia.

Napoli reached the last 16 of the Champions League last term before being knocked out by Real Madrid, alongside sealing a third-place finish in Serie A.

Tindall told the Daily Echo: "Valencia were a very technical side and the majority of European sides like to play that way. They were possession-based and well organised and Napoli will be as well.

"Napoli did extremely well in the Champions League last year and put in some really good performances, so it will be a tough test.

"As long as our application is right and we deliver a good performance, that's all we can focus on."
