SWANAGE Town & Herston will honour the memory of club stalwart Jimmy Hollywood on Saturday.
The inaugural Jimmy Hollywood Cup will be contested between Swans and Corfe Castle at Day’s Park (3pm kick off).
Jimmy, who served both clubs and was a life-vice president of Swans, passed away in October 2016, aged 66
He was involved with a number of local teams in the area at both youth and adult level and managed Swans between 2004 and 2007.
Jimmy held the reins with long-term friend Derek Beale, the pair going on to coach Corfe Castle.
Events will start at 10.30am and there will be various age group games taking place ahead of the Jimmy Hollywood Cup.
There will be many other attractions including a barbecue and raffle with proceeds going to the Forest Holme Hospice where Jimmy was cared for.
Swans continue their pre-season campaign when they host Dorchester Town reserves at Day’s Park on Tuesday.
Their scheduled friendly against Over Wallop last Saturday was postponed as the opposition were unable to raise a side.
Swans open their Dorset Premier League campaign against promoted Milborne Port at Day’s Park on Saturday, August 12. Port were promoted from the Dorset Senior League after finishing fifth in the table.
