Bournemouth tasted success in the fifth regatta of the Hants and Dorset season, hosted at Woolston by Southampton Rowing Club.
The J16 girls' A crew – Honey Martyn-Dewstow, Lydia Hardy, Judie Mayne and Grace Rowan, coxed by Libby Perry – put in a sterling effort to pick up the club’s first victory.
And the J16 girls' B crew – Amy Thomson, Isabel Gear, Sabra Kearns and Tyler Irwin, coxed by Bahez Abdullah – narrowly missed out on a win in the novice ladies' category but picked up a prize for a solid second place.
Perry also finished as a runner-up in her scull, while the J/S category – Charlie Ranson, Ben Chesterman, Dominic Brancaleone and Connor Stone, coxed by Poole’s Katie Crane – dominated the field to take a final victory for the club.
