WARY Pirates boss Matt Ford has identified Rohan Tungate as Belle Vue's danger man ahead of tonight's meeting at Wimborne Road.
The Aces last week swooped to sign the 27-year-old Aussie in place of Justin Sedgmen in the hope of beefing up their SGB Premiership play-off challenge.
And Ford reckons Tungate – an Elite League title winner with Poole in 2013 – will prove an astute signing following his release from Somerset last month.
Ford told the Daily Echo: "The change Belle Vue have made in bringing in Tungate for Sedgmen has made them stronger.
"I've got nothing against Sedgmen at all, I think he is a very fine rider. But Tungate has such ability. He is very slight and is so quick on a bike because his gating ability is superb.
"He will be looking to pile on the points against us."
Ford added: "It's going to be a tough match as there's not an awful lot of home track advantage for the lads. We still haven't done that many meetings."
