CHERRIES have unveiled their new home kit and announced a club-record shirt sponsorship deal with Asian company M88.

The club signed a five-year kit supply contract with Umbro earlier this year and the strip is their first designed by the sportswear giant.

Cherries' two-year partnership with M88 will see the company's logo feature on the front of the team's home, away and third shirts.

The tie-in with the successful online gaming firm is set to further increase Cherries' profile in Asia – the region responsible for the highest level of spending on Premier League media rights.

Speaking about the sponsorship deal and Cherries' ever-growing stature in world football, boss Eddie Howe said: “It is probably one of the biggest changes at the club in recent seasons, and the amount of international exposure that AFC Bournemouth is getting is integral to the growth of the club.

“It is fantastic to bring M88 on board, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership for many years to come.

“We are constantly looking at ways to take the club to new levels, both on and off the pitch, and we are delighted that M88 will be joining us as we continue our journey.”

Chief executive Neill Blake added: “M88 is a partner that shares our ambition and aspirations as we look to grow in a new market and enhance our presence in Asia.

"We have an exciting season ahead, and we look forward to working with M88 for many years.”

Cherries' new strip – which will be on sale from July 1 – meets with the approval of midfielder Andrew Surman, who revealed Umbro worked closely with the club to produce a kit tailored to the players' needs.

He said: “The kit is simple and stylish – and the traditions of Umbro, combined with us as a young, ambitious club, make it perfect.

“I know myself and the lads will really enjoy playing in this, not just for the look but also for the quality aspect of the kits, and they feel really comfortable to wear.”
