DARTS: Scott Mitchell will make a high-profile return to the oche at this weekend's England Open.

Bransgore's Mitchell heads to the competition in West Sussex after putting his back into work on the family farm for three weeks following a second-round exit at last month's World Trophy.

He was an England Open finalist in 2014, going down to a 7-2 defeat by Dutchman Wesley Harms, and reached the last four of the competition 12 months ago.

Mitchell will also participate in the lesser England National Singles competition, which begins today at the same Bunn Leisure Holiday Village location in Selsey.

The 46-year-old matched his England Open semi-final run in the tournament last year and was beaten by Garry Thompson in the 2013 final.

Mitchell launches his England Open campaign tomorrow, with all the action being screened live on Front Runner television.
