CHERRIES midfielder Lewis Cook has challenged England to "put ourselves in a really strong position" with victory over Under-20 World Cup hosts South Korea.
A draw in Suwon would be enough to seal the Young Lions' place in the knockout stages and even defeat would not guarantee an exit.
However, skipper Cook has urged his team to prioritise defeating a South Korea side which has already ensured progress (12noon BST), which would see England go through as group winners.
Cook told the Football Association's website: “It’s a massive game because whoever wins will finish top of the group.
“We’ll take second but, hopefully, we can get first and put ourselves in a really strong position for the next round.
“They are a good team and they have got a lot of good individuals capable of changing the game.
"South Korea work hard, just like any team in this competition. But I think we’ve got enough in our squad to manage that, defend well and score goals.
“For all the lads it will be a great experience. There will be a lot of people there and it’s a big game. It will be a great occasion and it’s something we’ll try to cherish.”
