EDDIE Howe says he and Lewis Grabban will talk this summer about "where we take our relationship".

Striker Grabban is currently on loan at Reading and is hoping to help them reach the Premier League through the Championship play-offs.

The 29-year-old netted three goals in the final five games of the regulation season and started the Royals' 1-1 draw at Fulham in the first leg of the semi-final on Saturday.

Grabban rejoined Cherries from Norwich in a £7million deal in January 2016 but did not find the net in any of his 15 Premier League appearances last season.

He was restricted to three top-flight outings this term, all from the bench, before linking up with Reading on deadline day in January. Grabban played 16 times in their Championship campaign.

The Londoner, who netted 35 times during a two-year spell with Cherries before he left for Norwich in 2014, has two years remaining on his contract at Dean Court.

Howe told the Daily Echo: "I will have to sit down with Lewis in the summer and have discussions as to where we think we take our relationship.

"That is the same for any player. I will sit down with all of them at the end of the season and have a discussion about next season and Lewis will be no different."
