WOLVERHAMPTON will make a late call on the fitness of Adam Skornicki ahead of Monday's SGB Premiership Shield first leg against Pirates.
Polish racer Skornicki, a member of Poole's Elite League-winning team of 2008, faces a race against time due to a shoulder problem.
The 40-year-old fell awkwardly during Peter Karlsson’s farewell meeting at Monmore Green on Sunday.
He did not ride in Monday’s practice or participate in a team karting session as a precaution.
Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten told the club website: “It will be a case of making a late decision over Adam.
“The only option available to us will be the rider replacement facility to cover for him so he can give it the weekend to see how he feels.
“It would be a shame for us to start the season without Adam and we wish him all the best and hope for some good news on Sunday.”
Neil Middleditch's Pirates face Wolves in the return leg at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.
