DAN Gosling hailed the way Cherries coped with the pressure on their shoulders to "suffocate" Swansea and earn three "huge" points.

The midfielder's return to the starting line-up has coincided with his team recording back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season.

And after Cherries had followed up last week's victory over West Ham by beating Swansea 2-0 on Saturday, Gosling admitted his team approached the two matches targeting a maximum points return.

He told the Daily Echo: "There is always pressure on us to win at home.

"The fans want to see good, attacking football and we produced that against Swansea. At times we were very good.

"We suffocated them and limited them to a couple of half-chances and we thoroughly deserved the win.

"We pinpointed these two games as being huge for us. We wanted six points and we have managed to get them in the bag."

Cherries' clean sheet against the Swans was their first since they toppled the same team 3-0 on New Year's Eve.

"That was one of the most pleasing aspects of the game," added Gosling.

"For all our attacking play and nice passing, the clean sheet was massive.

"We knew if we kept them out we would have our chances to win the game. The boys at the back fully deserved that."
