HARRY Arter faces an anxious wait to discover the full extent of a calf injury.
Arter took a kick to the muscle during the second half of Cherries’ 3-2 win over West Ham yesterday.
The midfielder, who played a key role in Cherries’ first victory of 2017, is tomorrow due to have a scan and is hoping it is nothing serious.
Arter told the Daily Echo: “It was probably the one disappointing thing to come out of the game. I will have a scan and, fingers crossed, it is not too bad.”
The 27-year-old missed the first five months of Cherries’ debut season in the Premier League due to a groin problem.
Arter is expected to be named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their World Cup qualifier against Wales later this month.
