CHERRIES' mini-break in Madrid will help to get the team "firing again", according to defender Steve Cook.
Eddie Howe and his players will spend three nights in the Spanish capital, where they will start plotting for next week's crucial trip to West Bromwich.
After a trying start to 2017, which has seen Cherries fail to win any of their six Premier League games and exit the FA Cup, Cook believes spending time together will tighten the squad's bond ahead of a testing period.
Having seen what lies in wait for him when the team arrive today, however, Cook isn't expecting to find much time to put his feet up
He told the Daily Echo: "I think it will be good for the lads. It will be change of scenery. Iām not sure it will be too much warmer than it is here, but I think it is about getting us away, getting us together and making the team spirit even stronger.
"It is another experience for us. We have 10 days to prepare for our next game and to get all the lads back fit ā and to get us firing again.
"It will be a nice trip, although it will be very hard. I have just seen the schedule and it looks extremely demanding, so it will be good."
