BOSS Eddie Howe felt Cherries were "unfortunate" not to take all three points in a pulsating draw with Watford this afternoon.

Howe's men twice came from behind against the Hornets in what was the fourth Premier League draw between the two sides.

Cherries, who remained 11th in the standings, fell behind to Christian Kabasele's header on 24 minutes despite dominating the opening exchanges with some brisk and quality attacking invention.

But having gone into the break still adrift, Joshua King levelled matters three minutes into the second half when he slotted past Heurelho Gomes following good work down the right by Adam Smith.

And although Troy Deeney's headed home Tom Cleverley's corner to re-establish the visitors' lead, substitute Benik Afobe finished well eight minutes from time to secure a point for the home side.

Howe said: "It was a good performance, particularly in the second half, but we also started the game very well. I thought we were unfortunate not to win.

"We defended well in open play and Artur Boruc didn't have too much to do. Set plays are a strength of Watford's and so the manner of the two goals was disappointing from that respect."

Howe made two changes to his side from last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Hull, with Harry Arter sitting out a rare game on the bench as King came in alongside Callum Wilson.

Asked about Arter's omission, Howe added: "I wanted to play with two strikers today so one midfielder had to miss out and, unfortunately, that was Harry."
