DEPLETED Cherries have been linked with a surprise loan swoop for Chelsea captain John Terry.
The 36-year-old defender has figured just twice in the Premier League since August and is reportedly keen to prolong his career.
And the Telegraph reports Cherries are “considering a loan move this month” for the ex-England international.
However, the broadsheet stated “there would first be major issues to overcome on the player’s side” if Terry were to sign.
Meanwhile, Sky reports Cherries "have enquired about the possibility of taking Terry on loan until the end of the season".
Cherries boss Eddie Howe’s options at centre-half have severely diminished in recent weeks.
Loan star Nathan Ake has been recalled by Chelsea, while Simon Francis is suspended for fixtures against Hull City and Watford.
In addition, Marc Wilson damaged his hamstring in Saturday’s chastening FA Cup loss at Millwall.
Howe has admitted his defensive resources are stretched and has promised “we will look at” the situation.
Terry is due to serve a one-match suspension having been sent off against Peterborough in the FA Cup on Sunday.
