NEW Milton overcame a four-hour coach journey and a lack of changing facilities to hammer Haringey Rhinos 69-0 in the London & SE Junior Vase third round.

Milton attacked from the off and ran in no fewer than 10 tries in the first half and one in the second, before the Rhinos hoisted the white flag.

Ben Russell quickly scored the first two of his hat-trick of tries and Tom Gould twice crossed the whitewash.

Man-of-the-match Tom Duckworth followed up with a try under the posts and Dalton Thomas twice went over, with Sam Bew and Nick McQueen contributing a try each.

Uncontested scrums in the second period allowed Haringey some possession but this exposed them to some ferocious Milton tackling.

After McQueen had scored his second try and another Haringey player had gone to ground injured, the home captain and referee agreed to call it day.

Dalton Thomas converted seven of the 10 tries scored.
