MATT Ford has urged certain Pirates riders to put a stop to indifferent performances around Monmore Green in tonight's play-off semi-final second leg.

Reigning champions Poole hold a 12-point lead over Wolverhampton from last week's meeting in Dorset but now must finish the job on the tight and technical Monmore circuit.

Promoter Ford said: "It is not a track that suits all our riders but we have to put those thoughts out of our mind and deal with it.

"We have seen some indifferent performances around there from some of our lads. Now is the time to step up and put any demons behind us.

"This semi-final has a way to go yet. You can be certain Wolverhampton will be making things as difficult as possible for us."

Belle Vue entertain Lakeside at the National Speedway Stadium in tonight's other semi-final, the Aces possessing an eight-point lead from the first leg.

Ford was speaking to the club website.
