WESTOVER and Bournemouth recently launched their new river quad boat, purchased with a grant awarded by The Steve Bernard Foundation.
The boat-naming ceremony took place at the club’s temporary boathouse in Iford, where Tony Bernard unveiled the aptly named Stevie B.
Westover’s newly-promoted junior crew christened the boat and soon after secured the vessel’s first win while racing in Swanage.
The river quad will be used to help young talent from local schools learn to row and then compete in local and national events.
