CARL Poore wished departing duo Paddy Hester and Nick Swann well in their respective quests to make an impression in the Southern League.
Hamworthy United boss Poore saw both players head for the exit before holding a training session, with ex-Cherries youngster Hester transferring to Wimborne and promising teenager Swann snapped up by Dorchester.
But the new County Ground manager insisted he had no axe to grind with players looking to better themselves.
Poore told the Daily Echo: “I spoke to Paddy and told him he should go to play at the highest level he could and that the door would always be open.
“He was honest with me and said he wanted to try Southern League football and I would never want to stand in anyone’s way.
“I don’t know a great deal about Nick, I hadn’t seen him play but I wish him all the best at Dorchester.
“The key to these moves is patience, particularly for youngsters like Nick. At these big clubs, you have to wait for your chance.”
