CALLUM Wilson admits he is likely to keep away from Wembley Stadium – unless he earns the right to play there.

The 24-year-old Cherries striker has never been to the spiritual home of English football either as a player or fan.

Wilson could yet get to Wembley through club or international football, with England boss Roy Hodgson a known admirer of the frontman.

Hodgson admitted the ex-Coventry ace had been under consideration for Three Lions selection prior to the serious knee injury he sustained at Stoke in September.

Wilson, capped by England at under-21 level, told the Daily Echo: “I’ve never been to Wembley because I don’t want to go there until I’m playing there. I didn’t ever want to go and watch as a fan.”

The Coventry-born frontman finished just two goals behind Cherries top scorer Joshua King in the 2015-16 season, despite having missed six months of the season due to a serious knee injury.

Wilson netted five goals in total, three of which came in the 4-3 win at West Ham in August – the penultimate top-flight hat-trick at Upton Park.

He added a further effort in the 1-1 home draw against eventual champions Leicester and another in the 2-0 victory over Sunderland.
