EDDIE Howe revealed the abiding memory of December’s victory over Manchester United had been of how Cherries showed a united front off the pitch as much as on it.

The 2-1 triumph followed the death of Harry Arter’s unborn child with the Republic of Ireland midfielder belying his anguish to play a starring role in a rousing performance.

“The Manchester United game will always have that link with Harry and his personal situation,” said Howe.

“My memories immediately link to that moment and how well the squad united. It was a really special night.

“Harry’s performance and the character he showed was incredible in the face of what and his family had been through at that time.

“It was a really emotional night before the game but also afterwards. It just goes to show how well we support each other.”

Cherries finish their maiden Premier League campaign with the return fixture at Old Trafford on Sunday (3pm) with Howe reporting no change on the injury front.

Asked about the prospect of shuffling his pack against United, Howe said: “Possibly, we will have a look at it.

“Last week (against West Brom) was a good chance for us to see a couple of players that hadn’t had a lot of football of late with mixed performances to be honest.

“We will try to pick our strongest team to get a result.”
