FORMER Tottenham man Charlie Daniels joked that his Arsenal-supporting relatives were not allowed in his house ahead of Cherries' clash with the Gunners tomorrow (1.30pm).

Daniels, who came through Spurs' academy, is in contention to feature against Arsene Wenger's title-chasing side at Vitality Stadium.

He told the Daily Echo: "I've got loads of family who are Arsenal fans and it's a big day for them to come to our home ground and watch me play against Arsenal.

"They are staying in a hotel – they aren't allowed in the house!

"It will be a great day out for them and for me it will be a great test playing against some of the best players in the world.

"I guess it might result in conflicting emotions for them because if we do win, they won't be too happy because it will put a dent in Arsenal's title hopes!

"I'm sure they will want me to do well but I think they would take a draw."

Meanwhile, Daniels has thanked Jermaine Jenas after the retired former Spurs midfielder singled him out for praise recently on Match of the Day.

The left-back, who cleaned Jenas's boots while a youngster at White Hart Lane, was praised by the pundit following the 3-0 win over Norwich in mid-January.

Full-back Daniels joked: "I was actually on my own when I was watching it. I had to look around to see if anyone else saw it!

The Cherries man added: "What he said was very complementary and I'd like to thank him for that because it was very nice. He didn't have to do that. I wasn't expecting it so it was a nice surprise. I took great pride in it."
