WILL Croker says his pre-match words of wisdom need only be brief ahead of Bournemouth's home clash with Lydney tomorrow (2.30pm).

The head coach feels that certain sections of the Gloucestershire side's support believe the team is playing at too low a level.

And Croker, newly-installed as Lions' director of rugby, admits that this is a motivational tool for him and his players.

He told the Daily Echo: "Lydney came down a league last year and they are one of these clubs that have a big history through the amateur days.

"There is always the feeling when you play them that they are playing a bit beneath themselves. Even on the forums this week we've seen certain people say that they shouldn't be playing in this league.

"I think that comes from the supporters looking back to the club's glory days and wondering what they are doing at this level. But they are in the league they deserve to be in.

"I won't have to say a lot before the game."

Lions' Pat Fraser has family commitments so Ben Allman moves back to hooker and Dave McDonald takes over at openside.

Alex Sutherland is unavailable and Grant Hancox comes back in at centre, while Luke Chandler plays on the wing.

There is a spot among the replacements for the recalled Sam Bailey.
