There were emotional scenes at Wimborne Road last night when speedway star Darcy Ward spoke in public for the first time since a crash in August left him with serious spinal injuries.
A host of the world’s top riders and fans turned out to show their support for the 23-year-old.
More than £40,000 has been raised to help with his medical costs so far.
