CHERRIES goalkeeper Lee Camp could be a transfer deadline day target for Championship outfit Huddersfield Town.

The west Yorkshire club is in the market for a goalkeeper following the sale of first choice Alex Smithies to QPR last month.

Camp started Cherries’ first seven league games last season before losing his place following the arrival of Artur Boruc from Southampton.

And the 31-year-old dropped further down the pecking order at the Vitality Stadium following Adam Federici’s signing from Reading in the summer.

Initially drafted in on loan from West Brom in October 2013, Camp helped bring some stability after Cherries had used three different goalkeepers in their first 12 games in the Championship.

He penned a permanent two-and-a-half year deal in January 2014 and could be allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Camp, who was unfortunate to receive a red card during Cherries’ 2-0 defeat at Derby in September 2014, last featured for the first team in the FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa nine months ago.
