FIVE-try hero Charlie Rowberry was the hero as champions Swanage & Wareham rounded off their Southern Counties South campaign with a 46-3 victory at Dorchester.

The visitors got off to a strong start when from an attacking line-out, the ball was flung down the three-quarters and Rowberry (pictured) scored under the posts. Charlie Parish added the extras.

Just short of the half hour mark, Swans broke down the wing and Rowberry scored his second, only for a Dorchester penalty to pull it back to 12-3 at the break.

After the restart, the home side put their foot on the pedal with fly-half Parish breaking free to find Rowberry who crossed for his hat-trick.

Injuries caused problems in the Dorchester forward ranks and Swans capitalised, with Joe Desmond powering over for a bonus-point try.

Wing Alex Parry finished off a flowing three-quarter move and Parish’s successful kick made it 29-3 at the break.

Soon after the restart, Rowberry set off down the wing from 60 metres out and outpaced the cover for his fourth score.

Dorchester were reduced to 13 men towards the end and Swans replacement Ben Dennett gleefully scored under the posts. Rowberry then completed his superb afternoon with his 46th try of the season.
