ASSISTANT boss Jason Tindall insists Cherries are not ready to consider tactical tweaks to bolster goal difference as the Championship title race reaches boiling point.

While Cherries top the standings, Derby, Watford and Middlesbrough are also locked on 66 points while Norwich are just one adrift on 65.

The Dean Court side are in command in the goal difference stakes with their total at least four greater than any of their top-five rivals.

And ahead of tomorrow’s clash with beleaguered Blackpool at Dean Court (3pm), Tindall revealed that adopting a more attacking approach to boost Cherries’ tally would not be considered just yet.

He told the Daily Echo: “It’s not in our thinking at the minute. With 10 games left, there is still a long way to go.

“It’s something you might look at with two or three games left, depending on the league table at the time.

“We have got ourselves in the position we are and our game won’t change with 10 games to go.

“The main goal is to go out and perform well and to get results, whether it’s 1-0 or 4-0.

“We’re confident that we can create chances no matter who we play against and it’s a matter of taking the chances that we create.”

Blackpool are 17 points adrift of safety and are without an away win in the league this season.

But Tindall warned that any victory over Lee Clark’s men – who are winless since January – would be hard-earned.

He added: “It’s a banana skin for us. We are top of the league, Blackpool are bottom of the league. We are on a good run and they are not on a good run.

“People might look at it and think we are going to turn up and steamroller them but that’s not the case.

“It’s going to be a tough game. They will make it difficult and we will have to be at our best to beat them.

“I think everyone thought Norwich would beat Wigan at home but this is the Championship and that was not the case.

“We have to make sure that we’re not on the end of a surprise.”
