PROLIFIC Luke Stone could be set for his first Wimborne Town appearance since making the club his sole focus.

The striker has divided his time between Dorset Premier League leaders Merley and Southern League Wimborne over the past two months.

However, Stone, who has bagged 30 DPL goals for Merley and Hamworthy Recreation this season, recently elected to make Magpies his club of choice.

And he is in contention to feature in Saturday's away clash with play-off chasers Shortwood in Southern South & West (3pm).

Cuthbury boss Steve Cuss said: “Luke has enjoyed his experience at Wimborne and he wanted to take the plunge.

“He wanted to see if he could score goals at a higher level so decided to make the step up.”

Wimborne have a lengthy injury list with Jon Blake, Adam Costello, Matt Kemble and Jack Lupton sidelined.

Jamie Davidson is a doubt but Ian Oliver will return.
