CAUTIOUS Steve Cuss is adamant that Wimborne Town will head into their Dorset Senior Cup semi-final at Dorchester as underdogs.

The Cuthbury outfit dumped Dorchester out of the FA Trophy when they triumphed 3-1 at the Avenue at the beginning of November.

However, Wimborne have been hit by a raft of absences ahead of tomorrow’s head-to-head (7.45pm) and boss Cuss warned that their opponents would be much-improved.

He told the club website: “Last time we played them they were low on confidence and it was a good time to go there. They will be a very different team this time round.

“They have got a new manager in and they have put an impressive run of results together recently.

“We’ll undoubtedly be underdogs again but we’ve been playing well lately so we are looking forward to the game.”

Cuss’s men have not played since they drew 2-2 at Evesham nine days ago and the manager is without a number of players for the last-four tie.

Jamie Davidson, Matt Kemble, Adam Costello and Jack Lupton are sidelined while James Stokoe is unavailable.

Striker Luke Stone is cup-tied as he appeared for Dorset Premier League outfit Merley in an earlier round.
