LUKE Joy endured a difficult introduction to European Tour golf as he carded five-over-par in the opening round of the Dubai Desert Classic.
The Broadstone-attached player, who had qualified via his lofty finish on the MENA Tour order of merit, sunk bogeys at five holes and now faces an uphill task to make the cut.
Former Dorset ace Joy is due to tee off at 8.05am BST tomorrow morning.
