GEORGIA Hall says the Dubai Ladies Masters is much more than just a tour school warm-up as she prepares to tackle the prestigious 500,000-euro event.

The Kinson-based professional has received a sponsors’ invite to compete at the Emirates Golf Course and will take on the likes of Charley Hull and Sophie Gustafson in the Middle East.

Wednesday's event comes a week before the Parkstone-affiliated golfer is due to feature in the final stage of qualifying for the 2015 Ladies European Tour in Morocco.

However, the 18-year-old insists her initial focus is on performing well in a big-money competition that is loaded with prestige.

Hall told the Daily Echo: “Dubai is kind of a warm-up but also I really want to do well because it’s a really big competition, one of the biggest on the LET.

“All the top players will compete and there is good prize money.

“The most important thing is to get my card at tour school but if I can do well in Dubai as well then I will go home happy.

“I’m looking forward to it. It will be nice weather to practise in before Morocco and the high level of competition will be useful.

“I’m playing quite well and I think my putting has been the main part of my game that has improved of late.

“I’m using AimPoint which helps me find the line on the green and I’m going there quite comfortable with my overall game.”

Regardless of whether she makes the cut in Dubai, the former Oakmead College student will fly home to Gatwick before immediately jetting to Morocco.

Lalla Aicha Tour School is due to be held at Samanah Golf Club and Al Maaden Golf Club in Marrakesh.

The top 30 players plus ties will earn category 8a membership of the LET in 2015 – effectively a full membership.

Those that finish between 31st and 60th plus ties will be rewarded with category 9b membership, which will give access to a limited number of events.
