WALLISDOWN ace Georgia Hall struck out alone in professional golf because she did not want to overcomplicate her game.

With Lalla Aicha Tour School on the horizon – final qualifying for the 2015 Ladies European Tour (LET) – the 18-year-old is without a coach having recently split from mentor Dan Frost.

However, Parkstone-affiliated Hall, who turned pro in July, says she is content to continue on her own and trust her instincts for the foreseeable future.

Hall told the Daily Echo: “I’m just doing my own thing at the moment.

“I would definitely look into getting a coach in the future but right now I’m quite happy with how things are going.

“I’m quite a natural golfer anyway. I don’t go by taking this position here and that position there, I go by instinct, which helps me.

“I don’t want to get into the technique of the swing, I just want to feel it and not overcomplicate things.”

Hall is eligible for final qualifying having finished 16th in the Access Series order of merit, despite playing just six events, significantly fewer than the majority of the top-end players.

Tour school takes place in Marrakesh, Morocco from December 17-21 at Samanah Golf Club and Al Maaden Golf Club.

The top 30 players plus ties will earn category 8a membership of the LET in 2015 – which will secure entry to the majority of events.

Those that finish between 31st and 60th plus ties will earn category 9b membership – which will give access to a limited number of tournaments.

In the coming weeks, Hall will continue to practise at Parkstone and she is hopeful of receiving a sponsors’ invite to play in the Dubai Ladies Masters on December 10-13.

It may be a largely quiet build-up but Europe’s former number one amateur is more than content with her lot.

The former Oakmead College pupil added: “I’m not complaining that I don’t have to go to pre-qualifying in Morocco. I will get to practise while other people have to play in competitions.

“They will be used to the weather but that’s why you have practise rounds. I’m happy that I went straight through to final qualifying.”
