POOLE Town’s unbeaten run in the Dorset Senior Cup is guaranteed to extend beyond the three-year mark thanks to their 4-0 defeat of Gillingham Town last night.
Early goals from Marvin Brooks and Luke Burbidge put Dolphins in control and Luke Roberts fired home a third before the break.
Brooks directed a Burbidge cross into the net just after the restart to complete the scoring.
Unbeaten in the competition since November 2011, Poole will now face Verwood Town or Shaftesbury Town in the quarter-finals.
Dolphins: Manley, Tallack, Martin, Jermyn (Davidson, 52), Lindsay, Burbidge (Bayston, 58), Lowes, Roberts, Brooks (Turner, 58), Dickson, Munday. Subs not used: Pettefer, Hutchings.
- Nine-man Wimborne Town saw off Hamworthy United 1-0 at Cuthbury to set up a quarter-final with Sherborne Town.
Mark Gamble put Magpies in front early in the second half before George Webb retired injured and Sam Griffin was sent off for two bookable offences.
Magpies: Field, Phelps, Brimson, Biles, Costello, Lupton, Burton-Hemmings, Davidson (Griffin, 60), Webb, Gamble (Wilcox, 60), Kemble (Kellaway, 60). Subs not used: Maybury, Heselden.
- Dorset Premier League outfit Parley Sports suffered a last-gasp 3-2 defeat at Southern Premier Dorchester Town.
Parley twice came from behind thanks to goals from defender Lee Milton and skipper Matt Newbery.
However, the hosts were awarded a controversial late penalty when Jack Odam appeared to be fouled outside the area and Dan Smith converted.
Parley: Jones, Cook, Williams, Milton, Mardy, White, Bosley (Pratt, 84), Hiscock, Newbery, Holmes (La Ronde, 83), Wilson. Subs not used: Hayward, Rainer, Gilbert.
