BOSS Ken Vaughan believes Bournemouth Poppies are looking good ahead of their home clash with Brockenhurst thanks to the return of professional model Chris Toy.
Toy, a 25-year-old wideman or striker, last lined up for Poppies in 2008 before leaving to study at the University of Chichester.
It was during that time that he made ends meet with some work in front of the camera while playing varsity football.
A troublesome hernia problem had prevented him playing until this season but he hit the ground with two goals in two games as Poppies responded to their 7-0 drubbing at Winchester City on the opening day with seven points from their past three matches.
Toy and fellow livewire Sam Pekun missed Saturday’s FA Cup fightback against Verwood Town but with both set to return tomorrow (7.45pm), Vaughan hopes Poppies can continue their strong start to the season.
Vaughan told the Daily Echo: “With Chris and Sam coming back in we should be able to revert to our way of playing.
“Chris has played a big part in us finding the right balance. He came in the other week and made a real impact..”
