CHERRIES loanee Josh O’Hanlon is set to debut as Poole Town complete their pre-season preparations at home to a Crystal Palace XI tomorrow (7.45pm).

Boss Tom Killick plans to play the 18-year-old striker as part of a more structured Dolphins line-up with one eye firmly set on next weekend’s Southern League Premier Division opener at Banbury United.

Killick told the Daily Echo: “It’s important the lads get the feel of a proper game. This is our last friendly and needs to be as close to a competitive fixture as possible.

“So far, pre-season has been good. We have got minutes into a lot of the lads, including our younger players who have gained much-needed experience alongside our more senior players.

“But now, my thoughts have turned to the first game and I have formulated a clearer idea of what the team may look like. The Palace game should provide the final answers.”

Forwards Luke Roberts and Dan Munday are set to sign for Poole alongside back-up keeper Ben Manley. Talks are ongoing with midfielder Micky Hubbard and defender Lewis Tallack.

  • Admission for the Palace friendly is £8 for adults, £6 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.
