SKIPPER Richard Morris believes Bashley will have to win all of their remaining games this season if they are to scoop Southern Premier League glory.

The New Forest outfit, who travel to Havant this weekend (11.30am), are fourth in the Premier Division and nearly seven points worse off than table-toppers South Wilts in the average column.

And while Morris feels his team are not far from being title-winners in the future, he is aware of the test they face to top the standings this season.

He told the Daily Echo: “I think the reality is that we will need to win every game left this season if we’re going to win the league.

“We’re potentially a couple of players away from being a championship-winning side, but the most important thing is that we’re making incremental gains each year.

“We’re looking a bit longer term than just this season and there’s encouraging signs with young players putting in really good performances. We’re moving in the right direction.”

After missing last weekend’s action due to unavailability, spinner Ross Grierson has replaced Ryan Gilmour for the visit to Havant.

Bashley: R Morris, Porter, Baker, J Morris, Morgan, Ridley, Friedman, Thomson, R Grierson, Lilley, Nash.

Meanwhile, Lymington are poised for a big weekend of action as they welcome Totton & Eling in the league on Saturday (11.30am) before hosting Division Two Hartley Wintney in the t20 quarter-final on Sunday (3pm).
