AFC Bournemouth: Cherries target Wilson given permission to speak to two clubs
COVENTRY City striker Callum Wilson has been given permission to speak to two clubs, believed to be Cherries and Norwich City.
It is understood that the Sky Blues have received bids in the region of £3million for the 22-year-old hitman.
Cherries have been in the hunt for a striker ever since last season's top scorer Lewis Grabban departed Dean Court for Norwich at the beginning of last month.
Wilson, also the subject of interest from Wolves and Brentford, bagged 22 goals in 41 appearances last term, making him the third-highest scorer in League One.
Coventry have publicly reiterated their desire to hold on to the prized asset but it appears ongoing interest has tested their resolve.
Wilson debuted in the League Cup in August 2009 and made his first league appearance as a substitute against QPR in December 2010.
He made 17 appearances during a loan stint with Kettering Town in the Conference before being restricted to just three outings at Tamworth, also in non-league’s top flight.
Wilson scored one goal in 12 appearances for City in 2012-13 prior to making his breakthrough under boss Steven Pressley last term.
