TWO clubs are hoping to capitalise on Wimbledon fever when they play their part in the second Great British Tennis Weekend.

Ahead of the start of the world-renowned tournament on Monday, players can get their own game in shape for free 48 hours earlier at the Victoria Avenue and Southbourne clubs.

Victoria Avenue will host its event from 10.30am to noon tomorrow, which includes free play sessions for all ages alongside coaching for adults.

Mini tennis, tennis Xpress, disability tennis and free play will be available at Southbourne between 9am and 4pm on the same day.

Volunteers and coaches will be on hand to help out and there will be rackets and balls to borrow, so all players need is a pair of trainers.

The first weekend of the Lawn Tennis Association scheme took place in May with the third scheduled for June 28-29, the middle weekend of Wimbledon.

The Great British Tennis Weekend events have an online booking system that members of the public can use to secure their place.
