CAPTAIN Martin Miller is confident the wicket will be “batsman-friendly” when Bournemouth host Andover tomorrow (1pm).
Kind weather has left the Chapel Gate pitch in favourable condition and Miller expects plenty of runs to tick over in the Southern Premier League Division One clash.
He told the Daily Echo: “It’s been very nice to have the pitch unaffected by rain in the lead-up to a game, so hopefully that will result in it being slightly more batsman-friendly than it has been.
“We’ve got a lot of players capable of scoring runs but they just haven’t had the conditions to do it, so that’s my wish for this weekend.”
Mike Kitson, Ben Bridgen and Tom Wainwright are unavailable, so Luke Matthews, Anschuman Singh and Todd Stephens come in.
Bournemouth: Miller, Hayward, Hurley, Schmulian, Matthews, Kidner, Russell, G Singh, Stephens, Cronje, A Singh.
- New Milton will go in search of a fourth win out of four when they travel to Liphook & Ripsley (1pm).
On Sunday, Bournemouth make the trip to Knellers Lane to face Langley Manor in the Southern Electric t20 Cup.
Rob Pack will make his senior debut following a string of good performances for the midweek side.
