REMEDY Oak pro Gary Emerson secured his first payday on the 2014 European Senior Tour this afternoon as he finished tied-10th in the PGA Seniors Championship.

A full member of the tour this year, Emerson carded level-par and three-under at Stoke by Nayland over the weekend to end on seven-under for the tournament.

Santiago Luna, who won last year’s Scottish Senior Open, triumphed on 14-under.

For Emerson, it was a highly positive outing with which to follow up his appearance at the US Senior PGA Championship in May, his first senior major.

Heading into the weekend four shots off the lead, the Bournemouth-born player was two-over after four holes yesterday. However, he rallied to fight back to level.

Today, the 2004 Russian Open champion stormed to four-under at the turn, before falling back a stroke on the back nine.
