REMEDY Oak’s Gary Emerson cranked up the pressure on the leading pack with a second-round 68 at the PGA Seniors Championship today.
The Bournemouth-born golfer carded three-under-par at Stoke by Nayland in Colchester and was tied-fifth on four-under at the end of play, four shots off the lead.
Kevin Spurgeon experienced a second day of troubles as he fired a five-over-par 76.
That placed the Ferndown star on 10-over for the tournament and saw him miss the cut in his first European Senior Tour event of 2014.
Meanwhile, Parkstone’s Georgia Hall helped Great Britain & Ireland get their Curtis Cup campaign up and running in St Louis, Missouri today.
Hall and team-mate Stephanie Meadow lost out 2&1 in the opening fourball.
