BOURNEMOUTH go in search of their first Southern Premier League Division One victory of 2014 tomorrow when they travel to Hook & Newnham Basics (1pm).

Two losses on the spin is a run of form Chapel Gate skipper Martin Miller is keen to address.

He told the Daily Echo: “Given that no one covered themselves in glory with the bat against Basingstoke & North Hants last Saturday and the bowlers performed well, it was a difficult selection meeting.

“Hook & Newnham Basics have been in this division for a number of years and have some very good players. We need to find that formula that gets us over the line in tight matches, so hopefully Saturday will be the day.”

Andy Hayward, Tom Wainwright, Jake Hurley and Dave Kidner all return with Todd Stephens, Luke Matthews, Anshuman Singh and Matt Mixer making way.

Bournemouth: Bridgen, Hayward, Miller, Hurley, Schmulian, Kitson, Kidner, Russell, G Singh, Cronje, Wainwright.

Elsewhere, leg-spinner and middle-order batsman Ashley Collison replaces Ben Lawes as New Milton take on visitors Fawley (1pm).

New Milton skipper Ryan Beck said: “We’re sitting at the top of the league, which is good even at this stage of the season.

“We’ve only played two games because of the weather but everyone is in the same boat.”

New Milton: R Beck, House, J Park, N Park, Collison, L Beck, Loader, Elliott, Gargaro, G Watts, Staniford.
