GOALKEEPER Lee Camp reckons turning up the volume has helped Cherries secure their recent run of Championship clean sheets.

Cherries travel to Charlton tonight (7.45pm) in search of a fifth consecutive shutout in the league after preventing Doncaster, Blackpool, Blackburn and Middlesbrough from scoring.

The sequence marks a significant improvement on just one clean sheet in their previous 24 second-tier fixtures, with experienced stopper Camp arguing that morale-boosting performances have helped to improve communication across the Cherries backline.

Camp told the Daily Echo: “We've not changed anything major on the training ground, I think it just comes down to more attention to detail from individuals.

"I have made a conscious effort to talk a bit more during matches and the boys in front of me have been a bit more vocal too.

“Keeping clean sheets does instil confidence and belief. It's the same as when strikers score goals, when you stop teams from scoring you feel red-hot, on top of the world and like you're unbeatable.

“Possession has also been a key factor. We've dominated the ball in most of our games recently, limiting teams to counter attacks and shots from distance.

“We have not done anything too radical, it has just been a case of fine tuning one or two things which has paid off recently and long may that continue.”
