THE footballing career of Cherries legend Steve Fletcher was last night honoured as he received the Sir Tom Finney Award at the Football League Awards.
The now-retired striker picked up the gong, which recognises lifetime achievement in the game, at a gala ceremony at The Brewery in London.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe missed out on the Outstanding Managerial Achievement Award, with that instead going to Yeovil boss Gary Johnson.
The Dean Court club were also nominated in the Digital Content and Audience Growth category, but that honour was won by Championship rivals Derby.
