BOURNEMOUTH’S Anya Kay claimed bronze on her competitive bobsleigh debut at the British Championships in Austria.
The 22-year-old brakewoman and Anna Alexander-Holmes, from Holt in Wiltshire, were in superb form during their two runs in Igls, Austria on Saturday, as they competed against seven other two-woman crews.
A student at Arts University Bournemouth, Kay only attended her first bobsleigh open ID session in June last year.
She has already been tipped to represent Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Olympics and has received financial backing from charity SportsAid and the Ferndown-based John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation.
