TWO second-half goals from Lani Phillips helped Broadstone girls’ under-13 team to their fourth victory in their maiden season in the Dorset League.
Broadstone, managed by FA Vase winner Jamie Sturgess, toppled their Swanage opponents 5-2 at the Recreation Ground.
Jenna Howard, Lucy Cook and Helen Corbin netted the first three goals to give the hosts a 3-1 lead at the interval, with Bethany Thompson replying for the Swans.
In the second half, Tyler Gauntlett latched on to a long ball to score Swans’ second before Phillips sealed the points for Broadstone.
Phillips waltzed past three defenders for her first goal and beat the goalkeeper with a low shot to complete her brace.
“We are pleased to have continued our recent good form,” said Sturgess, who scored twice in Wimborne Town’s 4-2 triumph against Guiseley at Wembley in 1992.
“Our standard of performance and technical skills are improving with every match.
“The windy conditions and a hard-working Swanage team made it difficult for us to play our normal passing game but the girls adapted well and it was pleasing to see a variety of players getting on the scoresheet.
“We are enjoying our first season in the league and win, lose or draw we are always smiling.” added Sturgess.
