BOSS Steve Cuss has admitted his fears over Wimborne Town’s lack of game-time.
The Magpies have slipped further adrift in the play-off race after suffering five successive postponements.
Wimborne have not played a Southern League match since their 6-2 win at Evesham United on December 28.
Cuss conceded that the weather-enforced lay-off had been far from ideal with his men trying to climb the Division One South & West table.
He told the club’s official website: “Our lack of match action in recent weeks is a concern. We need to get into the groove of playing again.”
Despite that, Wimborne will be big favourites to claim victory when they visit Guildford City tomorrow (3pm).
Second from bottom with the league’s worst defensive record, Guildford were mauled 8-1 when the teams met at Cuthbury in October.
However, Cuss is expecting to lock horns with an improved team despite Guildford’s poor statistics.
He added: “To be fair to Guildford, they were going through a difficult period and had key players missing on the night we put eight past them.
“Since then, they have got better as a side.”
Wimborne will be without the suspended James Stokoe who is still waiting to complete his three-match ban.
