WESSEX Volleyball Club has enjoyed a dream start to 2014.
The Dorset outfit have announced the re-signing of London 2012 Olympian Zara Dampney.
And that recruitment boost came on the back of a hat-trick of Super 8s victories over the weekend.
Wessex Rocare women gained revenge for a 3-1 loss against Swiss Cottage in the first game of the season by claiming a 17-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-16 win.
The Wessex LeAF BU men's team followed suit by claiming a straight sets 25-19, 25-19, 25-14 success over local rivals SGTV Solent on Saturday.
Captain Dan Hunter said: “It was a good and disciplined start to 2014 and it was great to get a 3-0 win after the Christmas break.”
Completing a busy weekend, Wessex's men built on that victory by defeating London Lynx 25-21, 21-25, 25-13, 25-16 on Sunday.
Skipper Hunter added: “It was just the start we needed in what is a busy period for the players.
“We are all looking forward to next weekend's home match, where it is a battle between second and third.”
